Dehradun is placed in Valley of Utrakhand. Dehradun is also capital of Utrakhand. Most of Govt. offices are placed here.

 The city was made for the pleasant by the view of the mountain range with lit up houses crawling downwards from the top.

 Rajpur road was a main hangout spot where locals as well as tourists would gather to enjoy local  cuisine & take a promenade
  1. There are some places worth seeing in/near Dehradun. Sahastradhara which is good enough for a bath. Also the ropeway is equally enjoyable.
  2. Tapakeshwar Mandir.
  3. FRI (Forest Research Institute) is good for an open clean area & is worth only if you have good interest in Botany.
  4. Lachhiwala & Malsi
Dehradun is one of the best study centre of India. Blessed with natural beauty and situated at the foothill of Mussoorie , it is a place which should be visited by everyone coming to Uttarakhand.

 So many religious places like Haridwar, Rishikesh, Paonta Sahib are an hour distance from Dehradun.
Other then these, ONGC, IIP etc. are some great places which drives our Oil and Gas industry.

And most of the educational institute are placed here as compare to other cities of utrakhand and other state's Cities nearby Dehradun. That is the reason most of youngster are here and and most of educated peoples are here. Due to good educational institute many students from other states are came here for studies. You can also call it education hub.

 Every tourist spot is near to city, Like Mussoorie, Haridwar or Rishikesh, Sahstrdhara, and Dhanualti. You can enjoy your weekends with family and friends in these destinations. many Temples like Tapkeshwar mandir, Shiv Mandir (Mussoorie Road), Sai madir, jhanda sahib Gurudwara, Budha Temple, Santala Devi, Surkanda Devi and many more are here to explore. And Don't Forget the Robber's Cave and Dear park which you can easily explore.



In Winters, I still remember every time we came here to enjoy snowfall in Mussoorie, Its like the second home for us. We do not need reason to go there. George Everest is also my one of favorite, Its placed on height and Feel peace around There.




Life in Dehradun is much easier then Metropolitan Cities, You can reach any place easily with public and personal transport.  Markets Like Paltan Bazaar, Tibeti Market and indra Market are very Popular. 

 Chinese Food  like  Momo’s, chowmein, spring rolls  are very famous in Doon, You can find Fast food stall with Crowd in every street. Momo's are found in every fast food shop.
